Here at WinterKids, we’re getting into the thick of our summer adventures. Hiking, camping and, swimming are just a few activities we’ve been busy with but, we’re always antsy to see where the snow is falling. While we’re prepping our bikes and boats, Australia and New Zealand are prepping their skis and snowboards, if they haven’t done so already.

Mt. Buller, Australia
Mt. Buller is an easy, quick trip from Melbourne if you don’t want a full weekend in the mountains. They offer ski school and even a resort spa for a day away from the kids. For family members that might not be too excited for skiing or snowboarding, there are cross country trails and two toboggan parks.
Perisher, Australia
The largest resort in the Southern Hemisphere, Perisher offers 7 peaks with terrain for all skill levels. There is even a mini half pipe where your adventure seeking kids can safely learn some tricks before tackling the real deal. With fireworks every Thursday, night skiing and the Snowy Daycare for the littlest ones, you’ll be sure to find a good time here.
The Remarkables, New Zealand
This resort is perfect for a family getaway. Enjoy a relaxed, crowd free trip with plenty of activities. The on-mountain activities range from accommodating terrain, snow tubing and live music. With free lift tickets for kids 10 and under, it’s a prime family vacation spot.
