Fourth and fifth graders living in New Hampshire are lucky! Not only do they live in a beautiful state with lakes, national parks, and an ocean, but they also get to ski or snowboard on their mountains for free! This season, Ski NH is offering 4th and 5th grade students the opportunity to ski for free this winter. It's really easy for students to apply, and we urge all 4th and 5th graders in the area to go for it because it is an opportunity you simply can't pass up!
The 4th grade program is called "4th Grade Earn Your Turns," and this passbook includes a lift ticket and trail passes to all 37 New Hampshire ski resorts! To apply, students must complete an extra credit assignment related to some aspect of the history of skiing in New Hampshire, like writing an essay or bringing in an older relative who used to ski years ago on wooden skis. Once the project is completed and the teacher approves, the teacher will submit each individual student's name to Ski NH. The student will then receive his or her Earn Your Turns Passbook from Ski NH and will be ready to take on all 37 resorts!
Check out all the information you need to know about the 4th grade program like communicating with teachers and getting your child started here.
The 5th grade program, called "5th Grade Snowsports Passport," includes 1-3 lift tickets and trail passes for every resort as well as other discounts, like lessons and equipment rentals! To receive the Snowsports Passport, complete a Passport application and mail that along with a copy of your fifth grader's report card and a check for $25 before January 1st and $30 after January 1st to Ski NH.
Not only is your child benefiting from this program, but other children are too! Ski NH will be donating $5 from every application to the Make A Wish Foundation of New Hampshire.

We really urge all eligible kids in New Hampshire apply. This is truly an awesome opportunity for kids to get outside and get active with their friends, family, and peers. If your child has already received his or her Passport and is ready to go as soon as the resorts open, don't forget to buy your kids winter coats!
