If you are heading to the mountains this season for a nice ski vacay, no doubt you'll have a great time. But what if the kids could escape for a little fun at night--while you had a bit more of much-needed R&R? Five U.S. resorts have created safe, supervised, and fun after-hours kids programs. This allows for YOU to relax, while your kids have some fun...Really! Check out these five resorts offering kids after-hour programs (thank you to Ski Magazine):
Northstar-at-Tahoe, California
Where: Children’s Ski & Snowboard Center in the Village at Northstar
Ages: 4–12 Details: Kids Night Out starts with pizza and salad from Rubicon Pizza Company in the village then heads outside for s’mores by the fire pit followed by ice skating or bungee jumping. The night finishes inside with games and a movie.
When: 5–9 p.m. every Friday
Cost: $49 per child or $75 for two

Beaver Creek, Colorado
Where: Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch
Ages: 5–12
Details: Children of hotel guests can attend the Ritz Kids evening program, which features a revolving menu of activities. On the agenda is decorating (and eating) cupcakes, carnival night and a pizza party and scavenger hunt in Beaver Creek Village. Dinner is included.
When: 6–10 p.m. daily

Okemo, Vermont
Where: Penguin Playground at Jackson Gore base area
Ages: 6 months to 12 years
Details: Okemo has two evening programs: Kids Night Out is for little ones between 6 months and 6 years; Kids Night Out X is for older kids, 7–12. Both include movies, pizza and activities such as crafts and storytime for the younger set and swimming and ice skating for the older kids.
When: Saturdays, 6–9:30 p.m. through March 20
Cost: $35 per child

Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Where: Kids Ranch in Teton Village
Ages: 4–14
Details: Jackson’s Kids Night Out features pizza followed by indoor games, stories and crafts, such as tie-dyeing a Jackson Hole souvenir T-shirt. Magic shows and raptor exhibits take place on certain dates. The evening winds down with board games and ski/ snowboard videos.
When: 6–9 p.m., Feb. 22 and 25; March 15, 18, 22, 25, 29
Cost: $65 per child
